Gables Pride

Coral Gables resident Robert Fewell and his wife Marian made a contribution to the City that will benefit the entire community and beyond. The Fewell’s have donated $2 million to the Coral Gables Museum. The money covers the construction cost for a new state-of-the-art exhibition wing to be built on the corner of Giralda Avenue and Salzedo Street. Mr. Fewell’s real estate office faces the coral rock building which housed the City’s first fire and police station. It will soon be turned into the historic section of the Coral Gables Museum, housing important documents, pictures and artifacts of the City’s early years.

Fewell is looking forward to looking out from his office balcony onto the museum with the new wing to be named “The Robert and Marian Fewell Gallery.” He’s confident the museum will breathe new life into area and provide a sense of place and pride in our heritage, something he is happy to have facilitated. Coral Gables honors outstanding citizens like Robert and Marian Fewell who are continuously striving to make Coral Gables a wonderful place to live.

El Orgullo de Coral Gables

Los residentes de Coral Gables, Robert Fewell y su esposa Marian, hicieron una generosa contribución a la Ciudad, la cual dejará un legado que va más allá de beneficiar a la comunidad. La pareja Fewell donó los costos de construcción de un pabellón para el museo de Coral Gables, valorado en $2 millones de dólares, el cual estará ubicado entre la Avenida Giralda y la calle Salzedo. Las oficinas de la empresa de bienes raices propiedad del matrimonio Fewell están ubicadas justo al frente del edificio de coral, el cual sirvió de hogar para la primera estación de Policía y Bomberos de la Ciudad y que muy pronto se convertirá en la sección histórica del Museo de Coral Gables, alojando documentos importantes, fotos, y artefactos alusivos a los primeros años de Coral Gables.
Los Fewell están muy entusiasmados al pensar que desde el balcón de sus oficinas podrán ver el nombre del nuevo pabellón del museo: “The Robert and Marian Fewell Gallery”. El señor Fewell dijo estar convencido de que el museo traerá nuevos aires de grandeza al área y está feliz de hacer posible este proyecto que según el, reconoce con orgullo la herencia de nuestra Ciudad bella. Coral Gables honra ciudadanos ejemplares como Robert y Marian Fewell, quienes están continuamente esforzándose para hacer de esta Ciudad un hermoso lugar para vivir.
